Tobie Kerridge
Visiting Staff

Tobie is interested in sensors and networks, biomedical electronics, and fabrication and prototyping processes. He enjoys working across disciplines, for example finding a home for speculative design methods in scientific institutions and higher education. He is a researcher and a PhD candidate in the Interaction Research studio at Goldsmiths, and a visiting researcher at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering at Imperial College. He has recently contributed to research projects supported by Philips, Intel, France Telecom and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council. He is a visiting lecturer at Goldsmiths, and occasionally teaches with MA Industrial Design at CSM and TU/e.

For Design Interactions, Tobie is working with Elio Caccavale to develop a brief that helps students consider a role for their design practice amongst the networks of people and technologies involved in 'science and society' activity. This brief links directly to his experiences working on research projects including Biojewellery and Material Beliefs.
