Bio electric plants
"Nanotechnology represents an extraordinary opportunity to build a robust role in science and public dynamic."
Dr. Matthew Kearnes, Sociologist, Demo
"Nanotechnology is massively misunderstoodÖbut the potential impact is huge, probably in areas where we normally wouldnít expect a new science to impact."
Dr. Mark Green, Physician, King's College London
This project was concerning to "see trough science...", an opportunity to familiarise with some emergent technologies like nanotechnology, working with plausible futures looking at its potential social, cultural and ethical impact on society.
A government report pointed the use of nanosolarbio cells as an important area of future investment. They are highly efficient and convert sun light into electricity.
The main impact of this technology may first be implemented on mobile devices, such as mobile phones and laptops.
However, how can be possible to translate the captured energy by the plants, into our everyday life?
Using the plant as the producer of energy the project aimed to contextualize and produce possible future scenarios.
How we can interact with these new nanobio electric plants?
What means gardening, which kind of tools do we have to use?
