With four years of age, I wanted to be an Astronaut. On the one hand I would have seen the whole earth from a distant point of view, which might have helped me under-
stand the world better. On the other hand I would have overlooked all the great detail: human relationships and motivations. How could I have analyzed social and cultural phenomena being that far from earth?
Next preferred profession was children's book author to create fascinating tales that make the impossible possible - thus questioning the ordinary.
Then I learned to drive in reality and wanted to be a car racer. Did I dream of experiencing a different dimension? Though I would have never been so fast to catch up with future.
I wanted to be an artist, because that was what I was already.
On my CV it states "Diplom-Designer" graduated from University of Visual Arts (HFBK) Hamburg. But am I one? I produced objects, beautiful ones, too. However I realized, that I did not want to seduce people to further wasteful consumption. So I created meaning - represented by objects.
I started to explore ourselves and our future by demonstrating possible consequen-
ces of continuing our way or striking new pathes, like embracing new technologies.
I am interested in finding ways of provo-
king expanded cognition and consciousness in myself and other people. I want to bring people to rethink their behaviours and culture. Object can be one way of presen-
ting and evoking discussion, but I am here to try out new things and find new ways of communication.
