Charlotte Jarvis uses art, design and performance to question how people are constructed; socially, culturally and genetically. Her work examines how science and technology define and re-define our perception of our selves as functional or dysfunctional human beings. Her process is collaborative and cross-disciplinary including film, performance, photography, text and installation.
Charlotte has exhibited at The Barbican, The Battersea Arts Centre, Madder139, The Atlantis Gallery, Central school of Speach and Drama, Shunt and as part of the ShowFlat collective in London. She has also shown work at Apotheke in Cyprus, The Big Shed in Suffolk, The Arches in Glasgow, The Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Edinburgh International Festival and at CIAP in Belgium. For the past two years Charlotte has also run ArtForEating with James Read, a pop-up restaurant and food-performance collaboration.
